These four-colour, A4 risoprints are designed to show what your muscles are doing while you wish for good luck, swear at people or give a thumbs up!
The illustrations and designs were created by Jennifer Colquhoun (The Illustrated Lab), and printed by an Edinburgh-based social enterprise (who use soya-based inks and recycled paper stock). The print is a modern, irreverent take on the traditional anatomical illustration and is perfect for bringing some light-hearted heavy science into your life.
Riso printing is a fast, eco-friendly print process developed in Japan. The print process is similar to screenprinting – with each colour printed as a separate layer. This gives you an individual print each time, although substantially cheaper than traditional screenprinting since the print process is super speedy.
The print is taken from an original digital illustration by Jennifer Colquhoun.
