Delivery

I offer FREE delivery on all UK orders. 

UK orders are sent by the Royal Mail Special Delivery as this is a fully insured trackable service.  A signature will be required on the day of delivery.

£20 delivery for EU orders. 

£40 delivery for Worldwide non EU orders.

Please note that import duties, taxes and costs for international orders are the responsibility of the customer.

As most of my jewellery is made to order, delivery may take between 2 - 7 weeks for delivery.  We can give you a good idea of timescales if you get in touch here.

 

Commissions and Bespoke Work

A Stock item counts as any silver item on the Luing Smith web-site which does not need to be made to your specific sizing requirements. For example, a bracelet or a necklace which has been ordered in  a standard size option.

A bespoke item can be defined as any gold item or any ring.

I cannot accept returns on bespoke pieces, though may be able to re-size a ring should the fit not be correct.  Please note that return postage and a small re-sizing charge may be payable to Luing Smith if the customer has ordered in error.

 

Returns Policy

I hope that you will be delighted with your Luing Smith piece!  If for some reason you are not entirely satisfied with your jewellery, please get in touch here.

I put the utmost care and attention into the making of each piece of Luing Smith jewellery.  All jewellery purchased under the Luing Smith banner is subject to a 1 year warranty (proof of purchase is required to validate this).  The warranty only covers damage or defects which are not caused by customer wear and tear, accidental damage or inappropriate use.  All items outside of warranty will incur an additional charge - more details can be found in the Jewellery Servicing section below.

Unfortunately I cannot accept returns on bespoke orders.  Please note that due to the range of sizes offered, all Luing Smith rings count as bespoke pieces.

If you change your mind after the purchase of a stock item from the Luing Smith web-site, please get in touch within 14 days and we will issue a credit note or exchange once the item has been returned in it's original condition and packaging.  As a very small business, we cannot offer refunds on non faulty purchases.  

 

Payment Methods

Orders placed online through the Luing Smith web-site are taken through Shopify Payments.

Orders placed via e-mail or over the phone are taken by bank transfer, Izettle or cheque. Orders will only be confirmed once payment has been received - please note that orders paid for by cheque will be delayed by at least a week until the cheque clears.  

Orders taken in person can be made by Izettle or cash.

 

Jewellery Servicing

Please note that due to limited workshop hours, I am unable to service or repair items not purchased from Luing Smith. 

If you would like your Luing Smith piece cleaned, polished or re-surfaced, this can be arranged for a small fee. 

Items outwith their warranty include: items purchased more than 1 year ago, items damaged through customer wear and tear, items which were accidentally damaged and items which were used inappropriately.  The customer will be responsible for all postage costs associated with these repairs.
