Two-colour, natural history-inspired risograph prints by the Illustrated Lab.
Illustrated and designed by Jennifer Colquhoun (a.k.a the Illustrated Lab), and printed by an Edinburgh-based social enterprise (who use soya-based inks and recycled paper stock).
A modern take on the traditional natural history illustration, these prints feature the Shetland black sheep, the capercaillie, the Scottish wildcat and the otter.
Riso printing is a fast, eco-friendly print process developed in Japan. The print process is similar to screenprinting – with each colour printed as a separate layer. This gives you an individual print each time, although substantially cheaper than traditional screenprinting since the print process is super speedy.
The print is taken from an original ink illustration by the Illustrated Lab.
